Fremantle have hit another milestone along their journey to 80,000 members by 2025, reaching a new Club record membership of 56,157 on Friday.
Following on from a record membership year in 2022, the Club had anticipated reaching the milestone early when 47,398 members had signed up one month out from round of the AFL season.
Fremantle CEO Simon Garlick said the membership record was a good sign of things to come as the Club strives to reach their 2025 strategic goals.
“We’re fortunate to continue to receive incredible support from the Freo Family,” Garlick said.
“While as a Club we are completely aligned on hitting our overall 2023 goals, these little milestones show the members that we are on the right track.
“It is important that we stop and reflect on these wins as we aim to break through the 60,000 member mark this year.
“We believe we have the right people and foundations in place to not only succeed again this year but continue to have sustained success as a Club in the future.”
Fremantle had the fourth-highest average home crowds in 2022 of 40,460, and will look to continue to grow again in 2023 with more primetime fixtures like the round 6 Len Hall Tribute Game on Friday night.
