Josh Treacy, Ethan Hughes, Nathan Wilson and Liam Henry have all been rewarded for their hard work this pre-season as they break back into Fremantle’s starting 22 for round one against St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

Treacy (four games), Hughes (six games), Wilson (two games) and Henry (seven games) were all in and out of the line-up in 2022 as the team’s fitness and form made it difficult to break into the side.

Opposition: Four new Saints added

Treacy and Wilson will continue in their usual forward and backline roles. Hughes, who was named in the back pocket, will continue his pre-season form by being utilised down back as well as on the wing.

Henry, Wilson, Treacy and Michael Frederick have been named on the interchange.

Brandon Walker, Sam Sturt, Bailey Banfield and Matthew Johnson have been named as the emergencies for the clash.

One of those four will be confirmed as the tactical sub one hour before bouncedown on Sunday.

The game will mark the Club debuts of trade acquisitions Luke Jackson and Jaeger O’Meara, with Jackson named at centre half forward and O’Meara at half forward.

Will Brodie, who will play his 50th AFL game, has been named in the midfield alongside Andrew Brayshaw, Caleb Serong and ruck Sean Darcy.

Nat Fyfe has been named at full forward alongside Matt Taberner, Lachie Schultz and Sam Switkowski.

Bouncedown for the clash is at 4.40pm EDST (1.40pm WST) and will be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, and also streamed on Kayo.
