POSITION: Ruck / forward
HEIGHT: 204cm
WEIGHT: 102kg
DRAFTED FROM: Frankston
This year was Liam's second in the VFL system, but 2022 was effectively his first real run at it as his first year was impacted by Covid and shin splints.
Prior to 2021, Liam had been a basketballer and played local footy at East Brighton mostly as a forward.
Freo add NGA duo as Cat B rookies
Since moving into the VFL, he's gone from strength to strength. He was Frankston's no.1 ruckman this year, he averaged 92 ranking points and 12 disposals.
He kicked five goals in his last four games of the season, highlighting his improvement over the course of the year.
He acquitted himself well when up against AFL listed rucks like Ivan Soldo, Callum Coleman-Jones, Callum Sinclair and Matthew Flynn.
At various stages throughout the season, Reidy demonstrated the ability to hit-up as a forward and finish well for goal.
At 204cm and 102kg, he's someone who is physically capable of being a backup ruckman immediately, but also has significant scope to develop his game further in an AFL environment.
