Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce Brady Grey will be joining the club as the Indigenous Player Liaison and Development coach.
As Indigenous Player Liaison, Grey will be responsible for providing cultural and well-being support for the Club’s Indigenous players.
Grey will also work closely coaching the midfield 1-4 years players.
The 27-year-old joins Fremantle after spending the past nine months at Hawthorn working in Indigenous player development and with the club’s inaugural AFLW defenders.
Grey says he’s excited to be re-joining Fremantle where he played 21 AFL games between 2014 and 2018.
“I can’t wait to get back to the Perth weather and to Fremantle,” said Grey.
“I had really strong role Indigenous role models like Roger Hayden, Michael Johnson and Jon Griffin in my time as a player and extra support can only benefit a player’s development.
“It will also be an extra avenue of support - not only for the players, but partners and families as well.
“Familiar faces will make the move easier and it’s an exciting group to be a part of under Justin Longmuir.”
Grey’s arrival next month will see Roger Hayden move to a full-time role as Next Generation Academy Coach.
Roger Hayden will mentor Grey in his new role and provide support and advice to the entire Fremantle Football Club with his vast knowledge and experience as an Indigenous leader, as well as remaining a key member of the Club’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee.
Grey started his coaching career at Fremantle as an AFLW assistant in 2017 and 2018 and worked alongside Hayden with the NGA in 2021.
Grey will begin his role with Fremantle next month.
