Fremantle could gain two much-needed reinforcements for Sunday’s Pride Round clash with Collingwood at Fremantle Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Inside midfielder Dana East is making good progress through the AFL's concussion protocols, while winger/forward Ebony Antonio could finally play her first game of Season 7 – now listed as a test in the Perth Radiological Clinic injury update.
Versatile veteran Antonio injured a posterior cruciate ligament in her knee in a freak collision with a point post in a pre-season practice match in August.
Senior Physio Gabby Charlton said Antonio had worked hard to tick every box through her rehabilitation phase.
“Epps has a really big training and testing week ahead,” Charlton said.
“Should she get through that and pull up well, she should be available for selection.
“Epps has worked really hard in her rehab so we just want to make sure the knee is one hundred percent before we put her up for selection.”
Unfortunately, the side also has a number of players battling injury after a bruising loss to Adelaide last weekend.
Midfielder/forward Gabby O’Sullivan has had scans on the shoulder she dislocated against the reigning premiers.
“We’ve reviewed scans and consulted with specialists,” said Charlton.
“We’re looking for the best path forward for Gabby – she’s clearly a very important player for us so we want to make sure we do the best thing for her and for her shoulder.”

All Australian defender Janelle Cuthbertson has also undergone scans after leaving the field early in the second quarter.
“Janelle got her foot pinned in a contest and she injured both her ankle and knee,” Charlton said.
“Subsequent scans on the ankle have cleared her from any serious ligament damage, but it did expose a bone injury to one of the weight bearing bones of the foot.
“Her knee scans are being followed up on today, so once we have all the pieces together for Janelle, we can put together a solid plan for her.”
Ruck/forward Sarah Wielstra suffered a low grade MCL injury to her left knee against the Crows and is currently in a brace, while midfielder Airlie Runnalls is expected to to line-up against the Magpies after spraining her ankle in the warm-up to the Crows clash.
First-year player Tahlia Read is also consulting specialists after damaging ligaments in her elbow following an awkward landing in a scrimmage for reserves players last weekend.
