Fremantle needs to improve its ball movement ahead of facing the Suns on Saturday, according to senior coach Ross Lyon.
Lyon said Fremantle’s 27-point loss to Richmond at Domain Stadium on Friday night was due to some “anomalies”.
“We made some basic errors that were costly,” he said.

“Our work rate was a bit down off the ball.”
Lyon said much of the focus during preparations this week was on better ball movement and use.
“We’ve been spreading the ball well but we were stagnant, slow and straight line (against Richmond),” he said.
“Our ball movement, speed of ball movement and spreading the ball had worked well this year, that’s what we focused on.”
Lyon said the quality of the AFL meant that if any side was just a few per cent off its normal output the opposition would dominate.
“For most of the year, we’ve been better,” he said.
“With the cycle of AFL football and the marathon of it, you’re going to have moments the opposition are better than you.”
Fremantle play Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium on Saturday 13 June. Bounce down is at 1.40pm local time.
