Fremantle have received approval from the AFL for West Perth key forward Tyler Keitel to train at the Club ahead of the Supplementary Selection Period deadline on 9 March.
Freo have the option to fill the list spot that opened up following the retirement of Luke Valente ahead of the season. The Club may also keep the spot open for the mid-season draft.
Keitel, 26, is a 196cm key forward who kicked 70 goals from 19 games for the Falcons in 2021.
He has spent the previous two weeks training with West Coast, including playing some minutes in Friday’s practice match, and will now spend the week at Fremantle.
He joins four other WAFL-listed players who are training with the Club in South Fremantle’s Blake Schlensog, Claremont’s Bailey Rogers and Peel’s Lachlan Cullen and Luke Polson.
Cullen and Polson have been training at Fremantle throughout the summer as a part of the alignment with Peel, while Schlensog and Rogers were introduced to training last Thursday.
