Nat Fyfe and Hayden Ballantyne both trained strongly at this morning’s session and appear set to play in Friday night’s season opener against Collingwood at Etihad Stadium.

The pair missed Fremantle’s trial match against West Coast on Thursday, both with corks.

But the duo appeared unhindered at today’s first training session ahead of the Magpies game.

Captain Matthew Pavlich was also confident the pair would play.

“It’s really hard for me to know exactly how they are tracking, but I would suggest they’ll be out there today and ready for Friday night,” the captain said in his media conference on Monday morning.

The team will have its final closed training session on Wednesday morning before flying out for Melbourne.
