Fremantle and Triple M are getting behind the push to support Australian music by playing an all-Australian playlist at Optus Stadium ahead of the RAC Derby.
Apart from Freo's bounce down track 'We Will Rock You', which includes a live performance from local musician Troy Nababan, all recorded music you hear on the day will be from Australian artists.
The push has gathered steam in recent weeks as organisations do what they can to help local artists, who have all been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It's all a part of the 'Our Soundtracks Our Stories' campaign that is encouraging Australia to "discover, champion, share, and consume more local music".
When a recorded song is played at Optus Stadium royalties are paid to the artist, so by playing Australian music we can all help the Australian music industry.
