Fremantle have brought in five players to the extended squad of 26 players for Sunday’s RAC Derby at Optus Stadium.

Midfielder Blake Acres, forwards Sam Switkowski and Bailey Banfield and defenders Ethan Hughes and Tobe Watson are all inclusions for the clash.

Brett Bewley, the medical sub for last week against Brisbane, is also technically an inclusion into the squad.

The suspended Andrew Brayshaw and injured Nathan Wilson (hamstring) are the only omissions at this stage.

Senior coach Justin Longmuir said Fremantle would look to the likes of Darcy Tucker and Connor Blakely to fill the spot left by Brayshaw.

“We need to find another mid. Connor Blakely has been in the team, Darcy Tucker has been in the team, they've probably been more outside players,” Longmuir said.

“We'll look to spin them maybe through the middle of a little bit more to pick up a bit of the slack.

“It's never easy to replace your better players and in form players, but I feel like we've got the personnel there that can do it.

“There would be a number of players come into the mix. Sam Switkowski's back from injury. Bailey Banfield is back from injury, we obviously have to replace Nathan Wilson as well. Selection might be a bit trickier this week.”

The game will be David Mundy’s 353rd in the AFL, bringing him alongside Matthew Pavlich as Fremantle’s all-time games record holders.
