Brett Bewley will remain in Victoria until next week as the result of an injury sustained against Carlton in round 16.
Executive general manager of football Peter Bell said Bewley’s injury was on the minor side.
“Brett suffered a small crack to a rib in our game against Carlton,” Bell said.
“After the game, he was a little breathless and we sent him for a routine chest X-ray.
“It showed a small pneumothorax. It will resolve itself quickly but in the meantime, Brett will be unable to fly back to Perth until next week.”
