Thanks to one talented Fremantle member, there’s been some Fremantle portraits doing the rounds of late.
The first one was well publicised on The West Australian, when Nat Fyfe was photographed with a portrait of himself when leaving the club before Fremantle left to the eastern states for two weeks.
As a big fan of the Old Bull, Young Buck podcast, the member – Ron De Lacy - has continued to send his work in, this time honouring hosts David Mundy and Griffin Logue.
In a twist, both hosts kept the paintings a surprise from the other.
Mundy was the first to gift to Logue, who was given a painting of Lance Franklin in honour of Franklin’s six goals on Logue in Fremantle’s win agianst Sydney in round 10.
“A member has sent in a little gift for you, tell us what it says,” Mundy said.
Logue replied – “On the back, it says ‘Great game Griff, love your show and podcast with Dave Mundy. PS: Buddy is a beast, from Ron De Lacy.”
“(Kicking) six goals, I’d say (Franklin) deserves more than a painting.
“Good on him, thanks for that Ron. It was another good game by Buddy on the weekend. He kicked three, half the amount he kicked on me.”
Plenty of gift-giving in this week's pod ??

Ron’s tribute to Mundy focused on his work off the football field, with a painting showing Mundy graduating with honours in Marine Science.
“We love the love after footy here on the Old Bull, Young Buck podcast. Dave, after you sent me a bit of mail, we’ve actually got a bit of Barra too,” Logue said.
“We know he finished his study as a marine biologist. Someone sent in a nice photo of you. If you can just have a look. It’s a nice bit of beach in the background for you.”
After Logue poked fun at the age lines on the painting of the 35-year-old Mundy, Mundy replied with “That’s stress for dealing with you, mate!”
