Caleb Serong has no intentions of making his head tape a ‘look’ despite starring with 35 disposals with the bandaging on during Fremantle’s 51-point win against Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
Serong said the tape, which he has worn during the past three games, was only a precaution.
“I just had a little knock the other week and got a few stiches,” Serong said.
“The docs are a little bit extra cautious and want to look after it.
“I don’t think it will be there next week, which will be good.
“I can get out there and have the hair flowing without the headband around it. That will be nice.”
ALL THE HIGHLIGHTS
While the tape will be gone, Serong is eager to see Fremantle fans back at the footy as quickly as possible after Freo played in an empty stadium due to the current lockdown through Perth and the Peel regions.
“It was a tough night, obviously we would have love to have had our fans there for the Len Hall Game but we know there was other stuff going on so we just wanted to come here and get the four points and put on a show for the fans at home,” Serong siad.
“In the end we got the four points and it’s what we came here for.”
