Four Fremantle players have polled coaches’ votes following their round four win against Hawthorn at Optus Stadium on Sunday.
Polling nine votes, 35-year-old David Mundy finished his game with 25 disposals, seven clearances and a goal in a dominant midfield performance alongside returning skipper Nat Fyfe.
Mundy was crucial in setting up Fremantle’s attack forward of centre with his 476 metres gained, delivering the ball inside 50 nine times for the match as well as having nine score involvements.
After four rounds of football, David Mundy now sits equal fifth with 19 votes alongside Dustin Martin in the AFLCA Player of the Year leader board.
Ruckman Sean Darcy earned his first votes of 2021 (six) after taking five contested marks for the match – all inside 50 – as well as kicking three goals in one of his career-best performances.
Nat Fyfe was a welcomed addition back into the side, collecting a team-high 31 possessions, 14 of which were contested, returning to his usual dominance with six clearances to earn himself six votes.
Adam Cerra earned one vote for his 23 disposals, helping setup Fremantle inside attacking 50 with his eight score involvements and 82.6% efficiency by foot.
