Opposition: See who's in for GWS

The GIANTS have made two changes ahead of Sunday's clash with Fremantle

Brent Daniels has come in for the Giants for Sunday's game against Freo.

GWS have recalled Zach Sproule for his first game since 2019 for Sunday’s clash against Fremantle.

Sproule returns to the team alongside Brent Daniels who’s overcome a hamstring injury.

The clash at Optus Stadium will be Daniels’ 50th AFL game while Albury-product Sproule will play just his second match having debuted in the Sydney Derby in August, 2019.

Connor Idun and Tom Green have been omitted.

Giants coach Leon Cameron said he’s pleased that hard-running forward Sproule gets his chance.

“Zach deserves the opportunity after showing some good form on the training track and in practice games in recent weeks.

“He’s a great story Zach. He’s been on our list for a long time and is a very popular member of the playing group.

“Brent’s an important part of our forward line and midfield mix and we’re rapt to see him run out for the 50th time in a GIANTS jumper.

“As I said during the week, Sunday will be two hungry young sides looking for their first win so we expect it to be a good game of footy in front of a big crowd and I know are boys are really looking forward to it.”
