A home RAC Derby and a number of blockbuster clashes highlight Fremantle’s 2021 NAB AFL Women’s schedule with the AFL announcing the fixture on Friday.
Freo will have five home games, including four at Fremantle Oval and a home RAC Derby in round four on Saturday, 20 February, with the venue to be confirmed.

On Thursday the AFL confirmed that all games would be ticketed at $10 for adults and free for those under 18 years of age.
The club will work with the AFL to determine if access measures will be in place for club AFLW members and we hope to be in a position to communicate this with our valued members in the coming weeks.
There will be no conference system in 2021 with each team playing nine of a potential 13 opponents.
Fremantle’s draw includes six finalists from 2020 in North Melbourne, Carlton, GWS, Brisbane, Collingwood and Gold Coast.
Freo will also play Adelaide, Geelong and West Coast.
Their season will open against 2020 Conference A runner-ups GWS in round 1, with a clash at Fremantle Oval on Sunday, 31 January.
Freo will also host North Melbourne in round three on Saturday 13 February in a blockbuster clash that will pit the two leaders from Conference A and B in 2020 against each other.
Fremantle will also host Geelong in round six on Saturday 6 March and Gold Coast in round eight on Sunday 21 March at Fremantle Oval.
The away trips will be to Collingwood in round two, Adelaide in round five, Brisbane in round seven and Carlton in round nine.
Fremantle’s AFLW manager Darryn Fry said the club was excited for the challenge of the 2021 season.
“We think there are a number of games that our players and our members and supporters can look forward to, particularly our first home RAC Derby,” Fry said.
“We’re also looking forward to taking on North Melbourne at home. It was disappointing to not have the chance to take on North Melbourne, who were our fellow conference leaders in 2020. We’re expecting a big challenge from them and we’re excited that our members and supporters can be there to cheer the girls on.”
Fry said the club was excited to be playing five home games in front of the Purple Army.
“We’re thrilled to be playing four home games at Fremantle Oval, and our round four clash against West Coast is still yet to be confirmed as we look into the possibility of hosting the game at Optus Stadium,” Fry said.
“Should we host the game at Optus Stadium, it opens the door for it to be a Saturday night clash, which will also be our first home game under lights in the AFLW.”
