MELBOURNE has made three changes for its final home and away match of the season against Fremantle at Patersons Stadium on Saturday.

The Demons welcome back ruckman Mark Jamar, while big man Jack Fitzpatrick and first year player Josh Tynan have been recalled for just their second match each this season.

Going out of the side is Melbourne great Brad Green, who retired after playing his 254th and final match in front of his home crowd at the MCG last Sunday, while defender James Strauss and ruckman Jake Spencer are also out.

Strauss and Spencer have been relegated to emergencies, joining midfielder Jordan Gysberts.

Jamar returns after playing just one match since round 14 due to a calf injury.

He initially missed two matches, but came back for the round 16 clash against Fremantle.

Jamar then suffered another calf injury and did not play until last Saturday, when he had 38 hit outs for Casey against Sandringham in the VFL.

Fitzpatrick, who has played two AFL matches, will make his second appearance for the season, after playing against Hawthorn in round seven.

The forward/ruckman’s only other AFL game came in round 24 last year - the final home and away round - against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

Tynan, who was drafted at No. 52 in last year’s NAB AFL Draft, played in Melbourne’s opening game of the season against the Brisbane Lions.

The 18 year-old has played the past three VFL matches, with his season being interrupted by foot and concussion setbacks.

Meanwhile, defender-turned-forward Jared Rivers will play his 150th match for Melbourne this round.
