A FREO FATHER’S DAY: Pearce
Today featuring Clancee Pearce and his Dad Des
What makes your dad a good bloke?
He is kind and caring, and he’s always there.
What is your favourite memory of your dad while growing up?
Probably when he would take us down to the park and he’d have a kick of the footy with my brother and me. Those are the best memories.
What’s the best gift you have ever given your dad?
I gave him a big portrait of us three kids with a few words on it.
If your Dad was part of the team, where would he play and which team mate would he be most similar to?
He’d probably be back pocket, and he’d probably play a bit like Lee Spurr.
What trait of your Dads are you glad you inherited and which one are you glad you didn’t?
Probably laid back is the one I’m glad I inherited. He acts like an idiot a lot of the time, so I’m glad I didn’t inherit that.
How much of an influence did your Dad have on your footy career?
A lot, he’s probably been my coach for most of my junior career, so he’s been the one who has taught me most things.
What is your Father’s Day message to your Dad?
Happy Fathers Day Dad… hope you get a win!
Des Pearce on his son Clancee…
What makes your son a good bloke?

What’s the nicest thing he has ever done for you?
Gives me hugs from when he was little even until now.
What’s your favourite childhood memory of him?
His happy, fun-loving disposition.
What would you consider to be his greatest achievement in his life to date?
Winning a 2010 premiership with Swan Districts Football Club.
What trait of yours are you glad he inherited?
Easy going nature.
If his footy career was to come to an end tomorrow, what would you say to him?
You were lucky enough to live your dream of playing AFL now you have to build a new chapter in your life.
