The Fremantle Dockers are pleased to announce that one of its partner clubs, the Fremantle City Dockers Junior Football Club has been named Champion Club at the 2011 South Fremantle District Presentation Night.

The Fremantle City Dockers, formerly known as the Fremantle Hawks Junior Football Club, joined our partner club fold in late 2010. They play in the Freo Dockers purple home guernsey with white chevrons.

In March this year, the Fremantle City Dockers successfully attained Silver Level in the Quality Club Program, which recognises excellent club administration. They are one of only three West Australian clubs to have achieved this level.

The club also took home the following awards at the 2011 South Fremantle District Presentation Night:

Junior Umpire of the Year - Shaun Kirk-Williams (FCDJFC 16/17s captain)
Junior Coach of the Year - Simon Maxwell (FCDJFC 16/17s coach)
Junior Club of the Year

These awards were the culmination of a lot of hard work by the club’s dedicated volunteers and a fitting reward for the more than 320 players who put on the new playing strip and performed magnificently in 2011.

While the club hasn’t got any premiership banners (yet), it can be very proud of being acknowledged as the champion club.

The Fremantle Dockers congratulates its partner club on a great effort in 2011.
