To commemorate Dean Solomon’s 200th AFL game, the club are auctioning off his match worn jumper from his milestone match against Richmond last weekend.

In a stellar career to date, Dean played 158 games with Essendon – including the 2000 premiership – and has played 42 games for Fremantle since he was traded at the end of season 2006.

Solomon described his 12 years in the AFL as a long journey and said he was nervous but also very proud on the eve of his milestone.

"It's something that probably doesn't happen for a lot of players these days and I'm very grateful for the opportunity that I've been given," he said.

"Especially for my family, more so than anyone, the opportunity they've given me through my younger days the opportunity to play AFL footy and then come this far is a great reward for them.

"I grew up in Broken Hill, which is outback NSW, and just to play one game was a great effort for me and to come this far is something I'm very proud of."
