Players, Live the Dream participants bond in team building session
Check out some of the fun games and shennanigans from last night's Live the Dream session
Antoni Grover, Michael Johnson, Paul Duffield, Nick Suban, Chris Mayne, Hayden Ballantyne, Adam McPhee and Stephen Hill joined the boys at the Esplanade Hotel in Freo for some dinner and games - some that required skill and some that didn't.
And those wondering just how competitive AFL footballers are should have seen the players last night.
In a race to blow a ping pong ball from one end of the room to the other with a straw, Chris Mayne and Hayden Ballantyne displayed all of the desperation and tenacity we've come to expect of them on a football field.
'Ballaz' even tried to take a short cut under a table after Nick Suban attempted to sabotage his path to victory.
Ever the stingy defenders, 'Groves’ and ‘Johnno' applied some good bumps on the boys just to make sure they weren't going to get through without a fight.
There were also some tricky games of skill, including a wire puzzle that had 'Subes' bewildered.
Some serious allegations of cheating were directed 'Mayney's' way when the boys had to blow up a balloon and see how far it could fly when released.
"Mayney's chucking the thing," Suban alleged.
Even the usually quiet 'Hilly' spoke out loudly against the tactic.
In all seriousness, the session was a great way for the players to relax and get to know the Live the Dream boys a little bit better over a meal and fun activities.
Suban said it was an experience he and the players had taken a lot out of.
"Live the Dream has been great, for us and the 16 boys," he said.
"We're learning just as much through teaching them as they are from us.
"A session like tonight's really helps us bond and I'm sure it's one all the boys won't forget."
