Western Bulldogs’ recruit Koby Stevens is expected to line-up against Fremantle at Etihad Stadium after scans revealed he didn’t sustain a hamstring injury in round 1.

Stevens joined the Dogs at the end of last season after three seasons at West Coast. He has been solid in the pre-season and in the round 1 win over Brisbane.

Bulldogs’ Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said on westernbulldogs.com.au that captain Matthew Boyd (calf) was progressing well.

“He has started running on the Alter-G and we will build him up from there,” he said.

Boyd is listed as 1-2 weeks from a return on the Dogs’ injury list, while key defender Tom Williams is undergoing rehabilitation for a foot injury and is also likely to miss the Freo game.
