Seven-hundred-and-twenty-three-games, 733 goals, 218 Brownlow Medal votes and a collective list of awards and honours accumulated over the span of 13 years.

That’s what could be back into Fremantle’s team for Sunday’s game against St Kilda if, as indicated by senior coach Ross Lyon, Matthew Pavlich, Aaron Sandilands, David Mundy, Michael Barlow and Lee Spurr all return.

Save for round 22, 2010, when Freo brought back almost the entire squad that had been rested the week earlier for a game in Tasmania, this week’s inclusions are arguably the best for any one round in Freo history.

Club captain since 2007, Pavlich is the games (282) and goals (560) record holder at Fremantle. He must have a room at his home devoted to the numerous awards and honours he has received since debuting in 2000.

He is a six-time Doig Medal winner as the club’s best and fairest and has also been named All Australian on six occasions.

The tallest player in the AFL at 211cm, Sandilands was All Australian three years in a row from 2008-2010 and won the 2009 Doig Medal.

Mundy is also a Doig winner for his fantastic 2010 season and he took out the 2005 Beacon Award as the club’s best first year player.

That’s an award Michael Barlow (2010) and Lee Spurr (2012) have also won.

The former won the AFL Players’ Association best first year player as well, despite appearing in only 13 games.

Spurr is 26, but as a mature-age recruit he has the least experience of any of the possible returnees. In his second season at Freo, he has established himself as a member of a back six that finished second in 2012 behind only premiers Sydney for points conceded, and is well on track to be the best defence this year.
