Michael Apeness
Michael played forward with some small periods in the ruck. He showed a strong work rate where he worked hard up into defence. As per usual he presented strongly and marked well. He also showed he was strong in the ruck contests particularly with his follow up and presence around the ball.
Hayden Crozier
Hayden played on the wing and looked creative with the ball, where he was able to open up play. He showed a strong effort in the first quarter where he body-lined the ball. He also had plenty of tackle attempts.
Matt de Boer
In his return Matt played inside mid for a large proportion of his game with a period forward. He was strong around the contest with his contested ball, where he had a lot of in close handballs to the runners. He had a strong work rate and supported the defence with his running patterns.
Tommy Sheridan
Tommy played inside-mid and went onto the wing at stages. He joined in getting involved in the contest when the opportunity presented. He showed a strong offensive work rate to break the lines and be part of the chain.
Anthony Morabito
Anthony played as a midfielder and winger, where he looked strong inside the contest and had an impact on the wing. He contested well particularly with his clearance work and his use by hand and foot was positive.
Jacob Ballard
Jacob played the majority of the first half as a half back then went into the rotation as a mid and high forward. Whilst he didn’t have his usual impact in the contest he did work hard on transition and used the ball well with some good switches and use through the corridor.
Brady Grey
Brady played inside mid and had a period of time as a forward. He had a run-with role with Kyal Horsley and had passages where he did well and other periods where he was caught out on the spread. He laid five tackles and was strong around the contest.
Jonathon Griffin
It was another solid game from Jon playing ruck and forward. He worked well at stoppages with his body work and follow up, having 29 hit outs and eight clearances and showing intensity around the contest.
Jack Hannath
Jack played forward and rotated through the ruck with Jonathon Griffin. He was solid in the ruck with his follow up being a feature. When he went forward he gave a strong target and played his role kicking two goals.
Scott Gumbleton
Scott played forward where he showed a strong work rate, particularly with his break into space. He constantly looked to engage and block for teammates. He finished with four behinds so we are just looking at him to make the most of his opportunities in front of goal.
Sam Menegola
Sam had a run-with-role with George Hampson at half back. Hampson got a bit of it in the first quarter but Sam responded in the second and third quarters where he limited him to three possessions. Sam went off with a heavy knock in the third quarter after a strong body on the line in a 50/50 contest which resulted in a Brady Grey goal.
Kepler Bradley
Kepler played as a key back opposed to Andrew McDougall and Frank Stockley, where he looked to run and give bounce out of defence and looked strong in the one-on-one contests. He showed some aggressive spoils and looked to break the space and be used as an outlet when Peel won possession.
Michael Wood
Michael played a variety of roles on the wing, forward and finishing in defence. He used the ball well throughout the game and put himself in more positions to give him the opportunity to win the contested ball.
Tom Vandeleur
Tom played in defence on a variety of players including Andrew McDougall, Frank Stockley and Shane Yarran. He showed some good coverage at the contest and is still working on his composure, physicality and defensive positioning.
Craig Moller (Reserves)
Craig played ruck the majority of the game. He showed some strong involvements around the contests and spread well forward from clearances. He took a quality contested mark inside the forward 50 and had seven marks for the game. Craig is progressing well.
