The first away game is in round two against recent rival Geelong at Simonds Stadium on Sunday 12 April. The Cats pipped Freo in a thriller at the ground in 2014 when a David Mundy shot after the siren to win the match just missed.
Before that, the ‘Cattery’ was witness to one of Freo’s greatest ever wins – the 2013 Qualfying Final that catapulted Ross Lyon’s side into a home preliminary final and eventually the club’s first ever Grand Final.
Geelong are perennial contenders and have the class to again challenge in 2015.

Freo is back at Patersons Stadium a week later for the away Carlton Draught Derby against West Coast. Victory here would make it six in succession over the Eagles and leave the club just one win from levelling the all-time ledger against its crosstown rivals.
The club plays Adelaide at Adelaide Oval in round nine on Saturday night 30 May.
The Crows have a new senior coach in Phil Walsh and will be looking to return to the top four, which the club made in 2012.
With Taylor Walker putting his knee injury well behind him, Adelaide looms as a big riser in 2015.
It’s the first of two games at the South Australian venue for Freo, with a game against Port Adelaide in the floating round 23 fixture also at the picturesque ground.
It will be the second year in a row that Freo will close the home and away season against the Power.
The improving Gold Coast, led by the league’s best player Gary Ablett, will be a difficult proposition at Metricon Stadium in round 11 on Saturday 13 June.
Rodney Eade has taken over the Suns, who are expected to challenge strongly for finals spot.
A positive note from the long trip to Queensland is that Freo has the bye in the next round.
Freo returns to Tasmania in round 15 for a clash with reigning back-to-back premiers Hawthorn in Launceston on Sunday 12 July.
The Hawks are now undisputedly the best team of recent time and they don’t look like slowing down. Freo will be looking to defeat Alastair Clarkson’s side in Launceston for the first time.
A Sunday 23 August match against 2014 preliminary finalists North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium in round 21 will also be an eagerly anticipated fixture. Freo has not played the Kangaroos in Melbourne since round 22, 2012.
