Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich says the club's allocation of six-day breaks next season are part and parcel of the 2015 fixture.
The club was given seven short turnarounds in 2014 – the equal highest in the league along with Greater Western Sydney and Sydney.
The West Australian club was faced with longer travel requirements than the two clubs from New South Wales.
Rosich said Freo made six-day breaks the focus of its submission to the league for next year’s home and away draw.
“They can be problematic, more so when you’re travelling so far and so often,” he said.
“We think on balance, the five six-day breaks that we are scheduled to play is about the number you can expect in a 23-week season.
“Of those six-day breaks, five of them are all leading into home games, so hopefully that can counterbalance that as well.”
Freo is highly likely to be handed a sixth short turnaround next season in the floating round 23 fixture against Port at Adelaide Oval.
But Rosich said that scenario wouldn’t be a bad one for the club.
“We hope it would be (a six-day break), because it means we’re in shape for finals football,” he said.
“Port Adelaide are playing on the Gold Coast on the previous day (in round 22) and can’t get out that night so perhaps that balances that out as well.”
Rosich said what leaped off the page in Freo’s 2015 fixture was the host of blockbusters set for Patersons Stadium, beginning with a game against the Power on Easter Sunday.
“It will be our Starlight Purple Haze Game and it’s a big way to launch the season,” he said.
“They got the better of us here last season, (so) we’ve got an opportunity to avenge that early in the season.
“But they are a good young talented side and we’re looking forward to that challenge.”

The 20th annual Anzac Day Len Hall Game, on the 100th anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in World War 1, was another feature.
“That was another part of our submission (to the AFL), the 20th annual Len Hall Game,” Rosich said.
“We’ve got a long established history (of the Len Hall Game).
“It’s one we’re looking forward to this year, and I dare say into the future.”
