Senior coach Justin Longmuir is hopeful both midfielder Stephen Hill and forward Jesse Hogan will make their return to full team training on Friday, when the club next holds an full-team contact session.
The AFL allows two full-team contact sessions per week, the first of which was held on Monday.
The team will also have a contact training session on Wednesday but under AFL guidelines, the players will be limited to groups of up to eight.
Both Hill and Hogan sat out Monday’s session as they build to full fitness.
“(Hill and Hogan sitting out) was just the integration into full training,” Longmuir told Seven News.
“Jesse hasn’t full-trained with the team for more than a year now. He’ll likely do something with the main group on Friday and Hill’s coming back from a quad injury that he suffered in pre-season.
“He will join the group on Friday as well. They’re both progressing really well.”
Longmuir said the club hoped to take its full list to their hub on the Gold Coast, where Fremantle will be located from round two to at least round five.
“We’re still waiting on the figures from the AFL on the size of our squad and also the size of the staff that were allowed to take,” Longmuir said.
“At this stage we’re aiming to take all of our squad and we’re working around the 25 to 30 staff mark.”
Longmuir said Fremantle were not held back by stormy conditions at training on Monday at Victor George Kailis Oval.
“(Their excitement) helped overcome the conditions that we know yesterday was quite blustery, slippery and wet,” Longmuir said.
“The players enthusiasm got them through the session and, if anything, we had to pull them back. That was pleasing to see.
“It was the first time that we’ve done full team training for a long time. I was really surprised with how well the players pulled up on Tuesday.
“It’s really pleasing because that shows that they’ve done a lot of work over the break to prepare themselves and it means we can keep ramping things up.”
