The Fremantle Dockers are heading to regional WA late February to engage in community events throughout the Wheatbelt region as part of the Australia Post AFL Community Camp.
The 2016 Australia Post AFL Community Camp will see all 18 AFL clubs visit both metropolitan locations and regional centres with over 750 players spending two days meeting fans and developing stronger links between Australian Football and the community.
As well as regionally, the club will be involved in visits to the WAFL Districts in the Perth metro area as part of the annual campaign to grow the game.
The players will visit schools in Merredin and in the Perth metro area on Monday 29 February and Tuesday 1 March.
Children aged five to 12 in the Wheatbelt will have access to a free NAB AFL Auskick ‘Super Clinic’ and signing session with Fremantle Dockers players in Merredin at 3.45pm before a local junior club training session at 5.15pm.
Fremantle Dockers coaches will run a coaching seminar at Fremantle Oval from 5.15pm on Monday which will be followed by a sportsman’s night with Fremantle players and coaches in attendance.
Coaches of all levels of the game are welcome to attend the coaching seminar.
There are still places available at the Fremantle Dockers Sportsman's Night, hosted by the WAFC Metro South Team.
The event will be held at South Fremantle Football Club at 7pm.
Tickets are $25 per person or a table of ten can be purchased for $200.
