Matt de Boer
Matt played inside mid where he was strong inside, having seven clearances. He had some good bodywork around the centre square bounces and won most of his possessions around the contest and used it effectively. He had a strong tackling impact with eight for the game.
Tommy Sheridan
Tommy played inside mid and went to the wing for small periods in the third quarter. He had an impact around the clearances with nine. Overall, his work rate was strong, particularly in his spread. His ball use not as effective as in previous weeks.
Sam Menegola
Sam worked hard on the wing, particularly as the outlet. He put his body on the line in the air and on the ground. Sam found a lot of the footy throughout the day.
Jacob Ballard
Jacob played inside mid with periods as a high forward and winger. As has been the trademark with Jacob, he worked hard from contest to contest and was strong with his ground ball impact. He was composed at ground level.
Brady Grey
Brady played high forward and on the wing. He wasn’t able to move as freely as he has in previous weeks, which limited his impact.
Tanner Smith
It was a welcome return for Tanner Smith, who hasn’t played since round one. He played in defence on modified game time. He looked strong in the contest and was sharp with his reactions. He played deep for the majority of the game with some good one-on-one contests.
Alex Pearce
Alex returned after three weeks out with injury. He played in defence on modified game time and it was pleasing that he got through the game well. He showed some good bodywork and composure and laid several strong tackles. It’s good to have Alex back playing.
Kepler Bradley
Kepler played in defence for the first three quarters and forward in the last. He didn’t use the ball as well by foot as in previous weeks but he was good in close by hand under pressure. We'll look for Kepler to return to recent form and strong leadership this week.
Michael Wood
Michael played in defence opposed to Josh Hill and Brant Colledge. The constant focus for Michael is on improving his positioning and awareness when playing down back and focussing on his tackling and contested ball.
Tom Vandeleuer
Tom played in defence opposed to Simon Tumbridge for the majority of the day. He still needs to improve his awareness in general play and be more composed with the ball in hand. His physicality is improving week by week.
Jonathon Griffin
Jon played primarily in the ruck opposed to Paul Johnson and Fraser McInnes. Jon has been in good form over a period of time, but didn’t have the same impact at ground level as he has had in previous weeks. At centre square bounces, he was strong in controlling his space against Johnson and the control of hitout placement was well executed.
Jack Hannath
Jack played key forward and shared the ruck duties with Jon Griffin. He improved with his productivity as the game went on, particularly through the midfield in breaking to space.
Craig Moller
Craig played primarily forward with a short stint in ruck in the fourth quarter. He showed some good speed to break to space, kicking 1.2. He kicked his goal from a strong contested mark in the goal square. He demonstrated some good pressure efforts to chase out of forward 50.
Scott Gumbleton
Scott played forward where he constantly provided an option as a strong hit-up lead. He was always on the move although on a number of instances was ignored when he was the best option. He played a team orientated game where he was looking to protect and block for his teammates.
Max Duffy
It was a positive return for Max playing as a high forward, where he ran hard to find space on his opponent. He constantly provided an outlet and, after having not played since round one, he put himself in aerial contests to test his shoulder out and looked to support teammates by staying close. It was a good start for Max
