Michael Johnson and Matthew Pavlich have been included in Fremantle’s squad for Sunday’s match against Greater Western Sydney, but star defenders Luke McPharlin and Garrick Ibbotson are out.
The pair will both miss the Patersons Stadium game with calf injuries.
Pavlich and Johnson were named in a 25-man squad that will be culled to a final 22 at 3pm on Friday.
Also included were young forwards Hayden Crozier and Matt Taberner, and first-year defender Alex Pearce.
Make sure you tune into The Freo Line-Up on fremantlefc.com.au on Friday afternoon. General manager of football operations Chris Bond will run through the ins and outsahead of the game against the Giants.
Johnson returns after overcoming a knee injury he sustained in round 12, while Pavlich was a late withdrawal from last Saturday’s match against Melbourne in Darwin with illness.
As senior coach Ross Lyon had indicated during the week, first-year forward Michael Apeness was named and is in line to play his second career game.
