Hawthorn triple premiership player Bradley Hill is set join his brother Stephen at Fremantle on a three-year contract.

Hill was traded by Hawthorn in exchange for the second round compensation pick (23), which Fremantle received following free agent Chris Mayne’s move to Collingwood.

General manager of list management Brad Lloyd said the club was delighted to add a player of Hill’s calibre to Fremantle’s list.

“At 23-years of age, Bradley is an experienced premiership player with elite running and skill level,” Lloyd said.

“We believe he will be a valuable acquisition to our playing list and be a long-term player for Fremantle.

“Bradley is really excited about returning home to WA and will relish the opportunity to play with Stephen.”

Hill was drafted by Hawthorn with pick 33 in the 2011 NAB AFL draft and made his debut in round four the following year.

He was part of the Hawthorn premiership team that beat Fremantle in the 2013 Grand Final, and played an integral part in the club’s 2014 and 2015 flags.

Hill kicked 58 goals in his 95 games for Hawthorn and has developed into one of the league’s premier line-breaking midfielders, much in the mould of brother Stephen.

Following the above trade on Thursday, Fremantle currently have picks seven, 35, 43, 61, 73, 79 and 97 in the 2016 NAB AFL National Draft.
