Are you thinking of heading to the 2016 McDonalds WAFL Grand Final this Sunday at Domain stadium?
Here are five reasons why the WAFL Grand Final is the best ticket in town this long weekend.
1. Experience history in the making
This season, Peel Thunder has won three consecutive finals matches to reach the big stage.
If they manage to overpower the Lions, they will win their first ever premiership after 20 years in the WAFL competition.
Peel will also become the first team since East Fremantle in 1965 to win the WAFL Grand Final from fourth place.
2. Enjoy a family day out without breaking the bank
Children 15 years and under are admitted free to the game and Freo members receive a discounted ticket price of $25.
Plus, if you are a Harbour Master, you’ll receive free entry!
Don’t forget to show your Freo membership at the gate.

3. Watch Shane Yarran as he contends for a three-peat
Shane Yarran will go head-to-head with his former team Subiaco this weekend.
Yarran played for Subiaco in the club’s 2014 and 2015 premierships and said he was excited to play for Peel in the club’s first ever Grand Final.

4. Long weekends are for footy
The WAFL Grand Final is the last game on the WA footy calendar and conveniently falls on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Enjoy the game knowing you have Monday to rest and recover from the excitement of the Grand Final action.
5. Get your Freo fix
Whilst Freo’s season is over, don’t sit around waiting for the 2017 season to begin.
Up to 18-freo listed players have qualified for WAFL finals and could line up against Subiaco this weekend.
Peel Thunder face Subiaco at Domain Stadium on Sunday at 2:30pm WST.
Prepare to be #thunderstruck this weekend!
