Team line-ups and structures were a little different in the second week of the Marsh Community Series due to many of the star midfielders of the competition playing in the State of Origin for Bushfire Relief game on Friday night.
With that said, it was interesting to track the centre bounce attendances (CBAs) for the four pre-season matches played over the weekend.
Midfield opportunities were there for young Dockers Andrew Brayshaw, Adam Cerra and Caleb Serong. The Giants were missing a host of the usual names we see in the middle and therefore gave some of their recent draftees a run through the centre, while many clubs experimented with some new faces.
