Shaun McManus added yet another familiar Freo face at training on Wednesday when he came down to Victor George Kailis Oval to help out in a voluntary capacity.
The legendary no.8 made it a total of eight past players coaching and assisting in the session.
Under senior coach Justin Longmuir, Fremantle also had past-players Josh Carr, Roger Hayden, Simon Eastaugh, Michael Johnson, Aaron Sandilands and Tendai Mzungu out on the track.
With Fremantle having the second youngest playing list in the AFL this season, McManus will play a mentor role at the club as a guide for Freo’s up-and-coming players.
