Sheridan, who has played eight games this season, including the past four, has signed on through to the end of the 2015 season.
He had a career-high 23 disposals against Melbourne in round 21 and kicked two goals against Port Adelaide on Saturday night.
Senior coach Ross Lyon praised Sheridan’s development after the game against Port.
“He’s been strong, he’s grown,” Lyon said.
“It’s a credit to our development academy, they’re producing the goods with the players.”
Sheridan played at Victorian TAC Cup side Calder Cannons before Fremantle selected him with its first pick (No. 16) in the 2011 National Draft.
