Fremantle wants to shake its recent poor form against the Saints at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, says defender Lee Spurr.
St Kilda have thumped Fremantle by an average margin of 65 points in the past two encounters under the roof.
It will be Fremantle’s second trip to Etihad Stadium this season after its round seven win over the Bulldogs.
The club has improved its record at the venue under Ross Lyon, winning five of its past seven matches.
Spurr said past performances at the Saints’ home ground meant nothing come bounce down on Sunday.
“We haven’t played too well there the last few times but past performances count for nothing,” he said.
“We are going over with the mindset to compete and with the effort we had against GWS.”

Spurr said the side was making improvements in areas it had identified in recent weeks.
“There are a few areas we can still improve,” he said.
“We’re striving for that and working hard.
"We are by no means there yet.”
