Fremantle senior coach Ross Lyon says the remaining seven teams in the finals will have to play at their best to beat his side.

Speaking at a press conference with captain Matthew Pavlich on Monday, Lyon was confident his side was capable to perform in the finals, after winning the minor premiership.

“Teams are going to have to be at their very best to beat us,” he said.

“I have full faith in the group, our best is as good as anyone.”

Lyon said the Fremantle group was driven to succeed.

“We don’t hide, we welcome the scrutiny, we welcome this end of the year, we’ve been here before,” he said.

“We don’t sneak around in the AFL, we’re happy to take the pressure."

While Lyon said it was an exciting time for WA footy to have both AFL teams in the top four and four home finals, his focus remained on his own club.

“It’s wonderful for the state and both tribes,” he said.

“(But) Fremantle is the only team that interests me, the Eagles could be on the moon, they don’t interest me at all.”
