Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich has Achilles soreness in his left leg and has been ruled out of Sunday’s round 21 game against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium.

General manager of football operations Chris Bond said the club was hopeful Pavlich would be available for selection for Fremantle's round 22 clash with Melbourne.

“Although Matthew will miss Sunday’s game, we are hopeful that he will be available for selection next week,” he said.

“We will monitor the situation over the course of the week. We will then be in better position to make a decision about Matthew’s availability.”
