Live the Dream, presented by Decmil, is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 16 young Australians to become immersed in the culture of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club and ‘live the life’ of an AFL player for five days.

Live the Dream offers participants a rare opportunity to develop skills and behaviours, which can deliver long-term benefits to the individual and their local community.

The program will include a tour of Fremantle headquarters and Domain Stadium, a survival base camp in Chidlow, a ropes course at Point Walter Recreation Camp in Bicton as well as leadership and health and well being training sessions.

The Live the Dream program commences on Friday 3 July with Fremantle players Michael Walters, Tommy Sheridan, Hayden Crozier, Nick Suban, Chris Mayne, Michael Johnson, Danyle Pearce and Zac Clarke as the participant mentors.

The 16-year-old Geraldton Senior College student wants to forge a career in the AFL.

“It will be a great experience of what it would be like to be an AFL player,” he said.

“It will also make me have a better understanding of what is it going to take for me to make it to the AFL.”
