While Fremantle recorded 61 inside-50s in its 42-point win over Carlton at Domain Stadium, there is still room to improve its forward potency, says Stephen Hill.

Freo bounced back after recording just 35 inside-50s against Hawthorn last week and booted 13 goals in one of its most complete performances in recent weeks.

Unblocking the middle

Hill said it was pleasing to get the ball forward more efficiently on Saturday night.

“I think we finished really strong and locked it in our forward half,” he said.

“We got a lot of entries which is good.”

Hill said the side could still give the forwards better opportunity by putting the ball to the forwards' advantage.

“We still have a few things we need to improve,” he said.

“We started a bit slowly but finished well.”
