It’s been an exciting few weeks for Bradley Hill, not only being awarded the 2017 Doig Medal but also moving into his brand new home.
The Doig medallist received the keys to his newly built northern suburbs residence days before Saturday night’s accolade.
The 24-year-old had high praise for Freo president Dale Alcock and his company, Dale Alcock Homes who built his new abode.
“Dale Alcock Homes have just finished my house and it looks awesome,” Hill said on Saturday night.
“We have only just moved in, so there’s lots of unpacking to do but it’s an exciting time.”
Although Alcock wasn’t directly involved in the build he was on hand to help out when needed.
“I had a little bit of guidance and oversaw things from a distance,” Alcock said.
“He is an excitement machine on and off the field, so having him around our business has been fantastic.
“Our receptionist is a mad Dockers supporter and every time he went into the office we would light the place up.
“It’s a very exciting time for him and his partner Sam.”
Hill said the transition into his new home had been going well except for two rather ‘furry’ issues.
Harry, a great dane and Cooper a french bulldog, are Hill and partner Samantha’s well-loved dogs who are taking their time adjusting to their new surroundings.
“Unfortunately, they have been inside too much, but we are trying to kick them out slowly,” Hill said.
“Hopefully they’ll get used to living outside.”
