Every day we’ll bring you the wrap of the day’s trades from around the league.
Premiership player Joel Hamling has told the Western Bulldogs that he wants to be traded to Fremantle.
The 23-year old played a key role in the Dogs' finals series and is looking to return home to WA.
If Fremantle are able to secure the 23-year-old, he would join fellow West Australians Bradley Hill, 23, and Cameron McCarthy, 21, as players who have returned home to WA to continue their AFL careers at Freo.
The Hill deal was done on Thursday, in exchange for pick 23 that the club received in compensation from Chris Mayne going to Collingwood.
While McCarthy was officially named a Freo Docker on Monday.
Around the league, Friday was a busy day, with GWS sending Jack Steele to St. Kilda in exchange for the Saints’ 2017 future second round selection.
Sydney farewelled Tom Mitchell and pick 52 to Hawthorn for picks 14 and 52, which the Hawks received as part of Sam Mitchell’s trade to West Coast.
The five-time club champion joined the Eagles in exchange for picks 52, 70 and 88, while West Coast received the player and picks 54 and 72.
St. Kilda and Hawthorn did a pick swap, with the Saints receiving picks 23 and 36 in exchange for picks 10 and 68.
