Stephen Hill has pulled up well after suffering an adductor injury in Freo’s game against Hawthorn on Saturday, according to sports science manager Jason Weber.
Hill pulled up sore midway through the third quarter against the Hawks, but Weber said he has progressed well in the days since.
“‘Hilly’ is doing pretty well,” Weber said.
“He had some adductor tightness during the game on the weekend.
“He was pulled out (against Hawthorn), it was something the doctors thought was of concern and sufficient to have him out.
“But he’s pulled up really well this week, he had a run this morning, so we’re hopeful of getting him to a test on Thursday and into match committee.”
Weber was also optimistic about defender Anthony Morabito, who is looking to return from a hamstring injury.
“Anthony had a small strain two weeks ago so he’ll be training fully this week and hopefully get through training and get him to match committee.”
Shane Yarran pulled up sore with a calf injury after an impressive first game for Peel Thunder in round seven, but Weber said he was happy with how he has progressed in his rehab.
“Shane is progressing really well,” he said.
“He had a small, unfortunate incident in his first game back, and we’re hopeful to get him to a test situation this week.”

Weber was also confident in defender Tommy Sheridan’s availability for the Richmond clash on Saturday, after he was a late withdrawal in round eight due to illness.
“Tommy got off the flight in Tasmania and was quite ill, we didn’t have enough time to resolve it so he unfortunately had to miss the game,” he said.
“We look forward to having him available this week and he trained this morning with no problems.”
