Darcy Tucker will make his AFL debut Sunday, and Freo’s 2015 first round pick says he’s channelled his excitement, and is focused on Carlton.
“Obviously, I’m very humbled to get a game,” Tucker said.
“It’s going to be unreal to get out there for the first time in the Freo jumper.
“It’s my first AFL game so getting out there in front of the Purple Army at Domain Stadium will be great and I hope we get a win, that’s the main thing.”

Tucker’s first reaction was to call those who had been with him throughout his football journey.
“I tried to call mum and dad straight away and they both didn’t answer,” he laughed.
“I went and had a massage and then I had about eight missed calls from dad so he must’ve known something was up.
“They were rapt and have been through all of it with me, so they’re very excited and so am I."
Tucker said his initial response to the news was one of surprise and excitement but he has quickly transitioned to the task of Carlton on Sunday.
“Ross told me on the track after training, and my initial reaction was that I was really excited, surprised, and really pumped to go,” he said.
“Now I have to switch my focus onto the game, look to play my role and hopefully get a win.”
