Former Fremantle club champion Dale Kickett was honoured in a pre-game ceremony ahead of Freo’s clash with St Kilda at Domain Stadium on Sunday.
Midfielder Stephen Hill presented Kickett with a signed indigenous jumper that Kickett helped design with Freo’s no.1 ticket holder, Richard Walley.
The framed jumper was that same as the clash guernsey Fremantle wore against Adelaide in round 10 at Adelaide Oval – when Freo set an AFL record by fielding eight indigenous players.
As an added touch, the framed jumper carried the no.11, the same number the 1997 Doig Medal winner wore at Fremantle.
