Fremantle forward Michael Walters has been cited by the Match Review Panel after Fremantle’s clash with Hawthorn on Saturday night at Domain Stadium.
Walters was charged with striking Hawk Tom Mitchell in the second quarter.
Based on video evidence and a medical report from Hawthorn, the incident was classified as intentional conduct with low impact.
As it was a second classifiable offence for Walters, the charge carries a sanction of $2500, which can be reduced to $1500 with an early plea.
