Two Fremantle players have provided some of the best highlights of round 20 with Ed Langdon nominated for the Coates Hire Goal of the Year and Nat Fyfe nominated for the JLT Mark of the Year.

Langdon was nominated for his clever soccer during the first quarter of Fremantle’s 34-point win against Geelong at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Following a quick-thinking over-the-shoulder kick from Michael Walters, Langdon knocked a dribbling ball towards the forward pocket. He then used his trademark pace to sprint past two Geelong defenders and strike the ball off the deck, working the angles for a skilful finish. 

Fyfe was nominated for a crucial mark in the final minute of the third quarter.

The mark was a strong contested grab off the boot of Bradley Hill's kick inside 50. In what had become slippery and wet conditions after some light rain at half time, the mark signified a turning point in the game. Fyfe walked back and slotted the set shot, kicking Freo's third goal in a row which soon turned into seven unanswered majors and eventually led Fremantle to their 34-point victory.
