Fremantle could have a significant boost to their ruck stocks for Saturday night’s RAC Derby with both Aaron Sandilands and Rory Lobb listed as tests for the clash at Optus Stadium.
But there is also some unfortunate news for Freo’s ruck depth, with emerging ruckman Lloyd Meek out with a foot injury.
Weber said that both Sandilands and Lobb trained well at the club on Tuesday.
“Aaron’s progressed very well. We’ve had a couple of big game simulations with Aaron and he’s trained today with the group,” Weber said.
“He’s done really well and we’re looking forward to seeing him available for match committee this week.
“Rory’s progressed from his foot fracture from some weeks ago. He trained today and he’ll be with the group through the week and we’ll also look to get him available for match committee.”

Meek’s injury was sustained late in Peel Thunder’s clash with Swan Districts on Saturday at David Grays Arena.
The 21-year-old was in the midst of one of his best games of the season with 36 hitouts, 20 disposals and two goals to his name.
“Late in the game for Peel at the weekend, Lloyd landed awkwardly and fractured a part of his foot,” Weber said.
“It’s been surgically repaired and that will likely bring a close to his season.”
Weber said that both Stephen Hill and Jesse Hogan were progressing in their recoveries.
“Stephen’s doing really well. The injury against Melbourne was quite minor but we’re taking our time with him,” Weber said.
“He’s working very hard and we’ll see him back in a week or two.
“Jesse is progressing really well and we’re looking forward to getting him back into running this weekend and having him back into football from there."
