Schultz has been named in the initial squad of 26 that will be narrowed to a final 22 and four emergencies on Friday.
Rory Lobb, Reece Conca and Travis Colyer are also set to make their Fremantle debuts after arriving at the club during the 2018 draft and trade periods.
A small forward, Schultz was selected with pick no.57 in the 2018 NAB AFL National Draft from Williamstown.
The 21-year-old was named Williamstown’s most promising player in 2017 and impressed after his return from injury in 2018, ranking second for ranking points (94.8) and first for disposals (16.9) among general forwards in the second half of the VFL season.
Lobb is set to slot into Fremantle’s forward line while offering support for Sean Darcy in the ruck.
Conca and Colyer are likely to play through Fremantle’s midfield, with both an option to play on the inside and Colyer also able to provide extra run on the wing.
The squad also includes a further seven players who did not play in Fremantle’s final game of the 2018 season in Michael Walters, Luke Ryan, Andrew Brayshaw, Bailey Banfield, Cam McCarthy, Stefan Giro, Ryan Nyhuis and Mitch Crowden.
Both Bradley Hill (calf cork) and Matt Taberner (calf) have been listed in the squad. The pair face a final fitness test at training on Friday to be available for team selection.
The final team will be announced via fremantlefc.com.au at 2.30pm on Friday.
