Reece Conca said the playing group are happy to have the chance to redeem themselves with a big test coming in the 50th RAC Derby at Optus Stadium next Saturday night.

The Fremantle leader said the group felt disappointed in the wake of their four-point loss to Carlton and are eager to get their season back on track as quickly as possible.

The test doesn’t get any bigger than a high profile derby that will have important September implications for both teams.

At the end of round 15, Fremantle sit eighth with a 7-7 record while West Coast are just percentage off top two.

“Absolutely, the boys will be hungry,” Conca said.

“We’re looking forward to it, we’ll move on from this pretty quickly and gear up for Saturday night.

“We always get up for derbies and it would be nice to get one up on West Coast, who are obviously playing well.

“We’ll look at some visions during the week and it’s a six day turnaround, so we’ll look to recover well and try to get up for Saturday night.”
